TUMキッチンデータセットは、非マーカー式の人間の動きキャプチャ、動き分割、および人間の活動認識の分野の研究を促進するために使用されます。このデータセットは、包括的なセンサ入力データの集合を提供することで、これらの分野の研究者が彼らのアルゴリズムを試行し検証するのに役立つことを目指しています。基本的な行動に対する手動で注釈付けされた「真値」ラベルを考慮すると、このデータセットは比較研究の基準としても機能することを意図しています。記録された活動は、自然なキッチン環境における日常的な操作活動を含む、現実的で自然に見える動きを提供することを目的として選定されています。
TUMキッチンデータセットには、複数の被験者が異なる方法でテーブルをセットする観測データが含まれています。一部の被験者はロボットのように活動を行い、物品を1つずつ運びます。他の被験者はより自然な行動をとり、できるだけ多くの物体を同時に把持します。さらに、被験者が伸び手で物をつかむ動作を繰り返す2つのシーンもあります。このデータの応用分野は、主に人体の動き追跡、動き分割、および活動認識などの分野です。
観測された活動を識別し記述するのに十分な情報を提供するために、以下の多モーダルセンサデータを記録しました：
- 4台の固定高架カメラからのビデオデータ（384×288ピクセルのRGBカラーまたは780×582ピクセルの生ベイヤーパターン、速度25Hz）
- 非マーカー式の全身MeMoManトラッカーを使用してビデオから抽出した動きキャプチャデータ（*.bvhファイル形式）
- 環境に埋め込まれた3台の固定リーダーからのRFIDタグ読み取りデータ（サンプリングレート2Hz）
- ドアまたは引き出しが開いたことを検出するための磁性（リード）センサーのデータ（サンプリングレート10Hz）
- 操作ラベル（データはそれぞれ左手、右手、および人の胴体に関してラベル付けされています）
