ビッグデータと深層畳み込みニューラルネットワーク（CNN）の推進により、顔認識の性能は人間と比肩するレベルに達しています。独自の大規模訓練データセットを使用して、いくつかのグループがLFWで非常に高い性能、すなわち97％から99％を達成しています。多くのオープンソースのCNNの実装がありますが、大規模な顔データセットは公開されていません。顔認識分野の研究現状は、アルゴリズムよりもデータが重要です。この問題を解決するために、我々はインターネットから顔画像を収集する半自動的な方法を提案し、10575の主題と494414の画像を含む大規模データセットを構築しました。これをCASIA WebFACTSと呼びます。我々の知る限り、このデータセットのサイズは文献中で2番目に大きく、Facebook（SCF）の私有データセットよりも僅かに小さいです。我々は、このデータセットを使用したデータ消費型の訓練方法とLFWでの性能報告を奨励します。
