DTD はテクスチャデータベースで、5640 枚の画像で構成されており、人間の知覚にインスピレーションを得た 47 個の用語（カテゴリ）のリストに基づいて整理されています。各カテゴリには 120 枚の画像があります。画像のサイズは 300×300 から 640×640 の間で、画像にはカテゴリ属性を表す表面が少なくとも 90% 含まれています。これらの画像は、提案する属性と関連する用語を検索クエリとして Google と Flickr から収集されました。これらの画像は Amazon Mechanical Turk を使用して複数回の反復注釈付けが行われました。各画像について、重要属性（主要カテゴリ）と結合属性のリストを提供しています。
