バークレー地球組織の表面温度研究では、既存の16のデータアーカイブから16億件の温度報告を統合し、予備的な統合データセットを作成しました。
ここで紹介するデータセットは3種類に分けられています。出力データ、ソースデータ、および中間データです。バークレー地球の平均化プロセスでは、一連のグリッド化された温度場、地域平均、およびバイアス補正された観測所データなど、さまざまな出力データが生成されます。ソースデータには、私たちの平均化システムの基礎を構成する元の温度報告が含まれています。提供されるソース観測結果は、最初に報告されたとおりであり、多くの品質管理や冗長性の問題が含まれることになります。中間データは、冗長なレコードを統合し、さまざまな品質管理問題を特定し、必要に応じて毎日の報告から月平均を作成することによって、ソースデータから構築されます。ソースデータと中間データの公式リポジトリはSVNにあり、このデータベースは毎晩構築されます。
