カリフォルニア工科大学（Caltech）256データセットは、その前身であるCaltech 101データセットの改良版と見なされています。これには、カテゴリサイズの拡大、新しく大きなクラッタカテゴリの追加、全体的な難易度の増加などの新機能が備わっています。これは、視覚認識のモデルを訓練するのに最適なデータセットです。たとえば、クラッタの多い画像の中からカエル、携帯電話、帆船など多くのカテゴリをどのように認識するのでしょうか。また、最初にこれらのカテゴリをどのように学習するのでしょうか。機械に同じ能力を与えることはできるのでしょうか。
