# 背景
このデータセットには、米国の自然失業率（NAIRU）が記載されています。自然失業率とは、総需要の変動以外のすべての要因に起因する失業率のことです。潜在GDPの推計値は、長期的な自然失業率に基づいています。短期的な自然失業率には、2008年以降一時的に自然失業率を押し上げている構造的要因が反映されています。短期的な自然失業率は、労働市場の現在および予測される遊休度合いを測定するために使用され、これは議会予算局（CBO）によるインフレ予測の重要な要素となります。
