屋内シーン認識は、高度なビジョンにおける挑戦的な未解決問題です。屋外シーンでは良好に機能する多くのシーン認識モデルは、屋内領域では性能が低くなります。主な困難は、一部の屋内シーン（例：廊下）はグローバルな空間特性によってうまく特徴付けることができる一方で、他のシーン（例：書店）はそれらに含まれる物体によってより良く特徴付けられるということです。より一般的には、屋内シーン認識問題を解決するには、局所的およびグローバルな識別情報を活用できるモデルが必要です。
データベース
このデータベースには67種類の屋内カテゴリと、合計15620枚の画像が含まれています。画像の数はカテゴリによって異なりますが、カテゴリごとに少なくとも100枚の画像があります。すべての画像はjpg形式です。ここで提供される画像は研究目的のみで使用されます。
評価
論文の結果には、各クラスの学習サンプルとテストサンプルの数が同じであるデータセットのサブセットを使用しています。私たちが使用する分割は以下の通りです：
1、TrainImages.txt：各学習画像のファイル名が含まれています。合計67×80枚の画像
2、TestImages.txt：各テスト画像のファイル名が含まれています。合計67×20枚の画像
注釈
画像のサブセットはセグメント化され、含まれる物体に関する注釈が付けられています。注釈はLabelMe形式です。
