呼吸音データベースは、録音を用いて呼吸器系疾患を検出します。呼吸音は、呼吸の健康状態や呼吸器系疾患の重要な指標です。人が呼吸する際に発する音は、空気の流れ、肺組織内の変化、および肺内の分泌物の位置と直接関連しています。例えば、喘鳴音は、患者が閉塞性気道疾患（喘息や慢性閉塞性肺疾患（COPD）など）を患っている一般的な兆候です。
これらの音は、デジタル聴診器やその他の録音技術を用いて録音することができます。これらのデジタルデータは、機械学習を用いて呼吸器系疾患（喘息、肺炎、細気管支炎など）を自動診断する可能性を開きます。
内容
呼吸音データベースは、ポルトガルとギリシャの2つの研究グループによって作成されました。これには、10秒から90秒までの長さが異なる920本の注釈付きレコーディングが含まれています。これらの録音は、126人の患者から収集されました。合計で5.5時間の録音があり、6898回の呼吸サイクルが含まれています - 1864回にはチリチリ音が含まれ、886回には喘鳴が含まれ、506回にはチリチリ音と喘鳴の両方が含まれています。データには、クリーンな呼吸音だけでなく、現実の生活状況を模したノイズの多い録音も含まれています。患者には、子供、成人、高齢者といったすべての年齢層が含まれています。
