# 米国各州の政党勢力に関するデータ
このリポジトリには、各州の政党勢力に関するデータが含まれており、それは各州に対応する政党勢力のウィキペディアページに示されています（例えば、[バージニア州](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_party_strength_in_Virginia) を参照）。
各州のウィキペディアページには、その州の統治機関や代表機関の状況の詳細な概要が表形式で記載されていますが、これらの項目をまとめたデータセットはありません。私は各州のウィキペディアの表をスクレイピングし、項目をまとめて1つのデータセットにしました。データは **state_party_strength.csv** と **state_party_strength_cleaned.csv** に保存されています。これらのファイルを生成したコードは、対応するPythonノートブックに記載されています。
データの内容:
このデータには、1980年以降の各州に関する以下の情報が含まれています。
1. 州知事と所属政党
2. 州議会下院と上院の構成
3. 連邦議会における州代表の構成
4. 選挙人票
クリーン版
クリーン版のデータは、大幅にクリーニングおよび処理されています。具体的には、
- すべての列には、列内で均一なデータが含まれるようになりました。
- 名前とウィキの引用は削除されました。
- 政党の数と政党識別のみが残されました。

ここに含まれるデータは、2つの場合を除いて、ウィキペディアの表から変更されていません。
- 各州間で列名を統一するために強制的に設定しました。
- 列を結合する際に情報を保持するために必要なデータの変更（例えば、文字列列の連結）を行いました。
