このデータセットには、2006年1月から3月の間に南極海を対象としたBROKE-West調査のトランセクト12、1、3、5、7、9、および11において、フローサイトメトリーによって評価された植物プランクトン、原生動物、総細菌、および代謝活性細菌の濃度が含まれています。トランセクト11については、総細菌濃度のみが評価されました。
海洋微生物について、4から12の深度でサンプリングが行われ、濃度はFACScanフローサイトメーターを用いて評価されました。植物プランクトンは、FACScanの488nmレーザーによって励起されたときのクロロフィルaの自家蛍光に基づいて同定および計数されました。原生動物は、酸性液胞染色剤であるLysotracker Greenで染色した後に同定および計数されました。総細菌は、細胞透過性のSYTO 13核酸染色剤を用いて同定および計数されました。代謝活性細菌は、エステラーゼ染色剤である6CFDAで細胞内エステラーゼを染色した後に同定および計数されました。
このデータはオーストラリア南極局によって収集されました。
