このデータセットは3つのフォルダ（訓練、テスト、評価）に整理されており、各画像カテゴリ（肺炎/正常）のサブフォルダを含んでいます。5863枚のX線画像（JPEG）と2つのカテゴリ（肺炎/正常）があります。
胸部X線画像（前胸部 - 後背部）は、1歳から5歳の小児患者の回顾的コホートから選ばれました。すべての胸部X線撮影は、患者の通常の臨床診療の一環として行われました。
胸部X線画像を分析するために、すべての胸部X線写真は最初に品質管理スクリーニングを受け、すべての低品質または読み取り不可能なスキャン画像は除外されました。その後、2人の専門医が画像の診断を評価し、その後に人工知能システムのトレーニングが行われます。評価誤差を考慮するために、評価セットはさらに3人目の専門家によって確認されます。
